We are proud of what you’ll find here at Hardin Medical Center. In 2004 we completed a $9 million construction and renovation project, and since we have been continually upgrading our services. Services are more accessible to our patients, and our surroundings are much more pleasant. The expansion houses our Radiology, Laboratory, Respiratory Therapy, and Emergency Departments. Rehabilitation Therapy has been expanded, and Surgery has been renovated. Three Labor Delivery Recovery (LDRs) rooms have been added to our updated OB unit. There is an Outpatient Clinic area, including the Darryl Worley Chemotherapy Clinic. There is a Auxiliary Gift Shop. Our Home Health and Home Supply are located in a building on our campus. Our Emergency Department offers 24-hour physician staffing with Physician Assistants to shorten your wait time. Our Emergency Department has trauma and treatment rooms, a private counseling room, and a large and attractive waiting room. We’re ready to help you in any medical emergency.

In our Surgery Department you'll find state-of-the-art equipment and skilled surgeons afford a wide range of capabilities. Experienced surgical nurses, technicians, and nurse anesthetists are here to assist our physicians in performing a wide range of needed surgeries. Diagnostic Services. With trained professionals and leading edge technology, we’re able to help physicians make faster, more accurate diagnoses.

Radiology: MRI, CT Scanning, X-ray,
Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear
Medicine, and Bone Densitometry are
available right here at home.

Full-Service Laboratory: Our CAP-accredited lab
provides blood banking, serology, chemistry,
pathology, urinalysis, hematology, substance
screening, and microbiology.

Respiratory Therapy uses a variety of equipment and techniques to improve breathing. We also provide 24-hour holter monitoring, cardiac treadmill testing, pulmonary function testing, ECGs, EEGs, carotid ultrasounds, and other diagnostic testing. HMC has opened a new Sleep Lab to better serve your needs.

Rehabilitation Therapy Services provide physical and speech therapies, working with patients of all ages to improve the health and quality of life for those physically restricted by illness, accident or disability.

Outpatient Chemotherapy. Our specially trained nurses, working with each patient’s oncologist provide chemotherapy services in the Darryl Worley Chemotherapy Clinic, saving our patients long trips at a time when being home is important.

When specialty care is not available full time, we’ve teamed up with some of the finest physicians in the area who travel to Savannah to conduct Outpatient Clinics at the hospital, filling many needs for healthcare here at home.

Other specialty physicians are available through University of Tennessee Healthcare Sciences in Memphis. Telemedicine appointments allow the patient at Hardin Medical Center to consult with a physician in Memphis by audio-visual connection.
