Welcome to Hardin Medical Center's (HMC) Website. I hope you will find it informative and that you will become better acquainted with the healthcare services we provide. Our hospital was opened in 1952 and has grown over the years to include an acute care hospital, 24-hour emergency services, a nursing home with a skilled nursing unit, a home health agency, and a medical equipment sales and supply service. We also provide ambulance services for our county.

We know that quality healthcare is a major issue for our citizens, visitors, and those thinking of relocating to our community. We are proud of the qualifications of our staff and the accreditation of our facilities. Hardin Medical Center and Nursing Home are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). Our Home Health Agency and hospital Home Supply are accredited by the Community Healthcare Accreditation Program (CHAP). Both JCAHO and CHAP are nationally recognized organizations that acknowledge healthcare providers' adherence to strict quality standards. Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the same organization that accredits laboratories across the United States, large and small.

We know that comprehensive services are important to you so that you won't have to go out of the area for your healthcare needs. That's why we watch for opportunities to add services and improve technology. We encourage specialists to conduct outpatient clinics here at the hospital for yourconvenience.
