Chad Jones

Chad Jones, born and raised in Hardin County, works with his family-owned business, Jones Motor Company, with locations in Savannah, TN; Humboldt, TN; and Lexington, TN, serving drivers in the greater West TN area, North Mississippi, and North Alabama. Mr. Jones is a multi-generational automobile dealership owner focusing on high-quality customer service, comprehensive brand selection, and after-the-sale relationships. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending church.

Jenny Shutt is a dentist at Shutt Family Dentistry in Savannah. From Senatobia, MS, Jenny is a University of Mississippi Medical Center graduate.

Larry Hinton
Board Secretary

Larry Hinton is a lifelong resident of Hardin County. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Tennessee Martin and is a paramedic with 15 years of experience, currently employed by Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Mr. Hinton was an elected member of the Hardin County Commission for 12 years. During that time, he was an appointed advisor to the Hardin Medical Center Board. Mr. Hinton has also served on the governing boards of several county organizations.

Ray Shirley
Board Member

Ray Shirley is the Vice President of Corporate Technology and Engineering at Packaging Corporation of America in Counce, TN. Ray completed his undergraduate studies at Mississippi State University, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Chemical Engineering. He also holds an MBA in Business Management from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.

Paul Stodard
Board Member

Paul Stodard of Savannah has been a Hardin County resident for 18 years after relocating from North Mississippi. He is Vice President of Savannah Food Company, Inc. and spent his 35-year career in various roles within the food industry, including Sara Lee Corporation - Meats Division. Paul is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science Minor in General Agriculture.

Milton Allen
Board Member

Milton Allen grew up on a row crop and cattle farm near Bruce, Mississippi. He graduated from Delta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing. For 43 years, he worked for Helena Chemical Co. in various positions before retiring as the Executive Vice President. Mr. Allen currently serves on the board of Horizon Ag in Memphis. He lives in Counce, TN. He is a member of First Baptist Counce and enjoys golf, hunting, and spending time with his family.

Jim Edmondson, FACHE, MSHHA, CPPS
Chief Executive Officer

Jim Edmondson has over 36 years of successful leadership in the healthcare industry. Jim came to Hardin Medical Center from Southern TN Regional Health System in Pulaski, part of LifePoint Health System. Jim has a Master of Science in Hospital and Health Administration (MSHHA) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Oklahoma State University with an emphasis on Organizational Behavior. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and has a Yellow Belt in Lean and Lean Leadership. Jim earned his Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) certification. He was also recognized in 2018 as LifePoint Health's CEO of the Year based on excellence in performance across quality, safety, talent, and growth. Jim is a tremendous advocate for his employees and is drawn to the tie between culture and quality/safety. He demonstrated results-driven culture of safety and employee engagement, having received Modern Healthcare's 100 Best Places to Work award for seven years in two different facilities. His hospital achieved the Health Grades Excellence Award in 2017, 2018 & 2019 for hospitals in the 90th percentile for public-reported quality and safety indicators.

Jerry Clarke, RRT
Essential Services Officer

Jerry Clarke has over 36 years of healthcare experience, with 29 years at HMC. Jerry also worked as a Home Healthcare Marketer with Deaconess Health for seven years. During his tenure at Hardin Medical Center, Jerry, a registered respiratory therapist, held the Director of Respiratory Therapy position. He oversees Cardiac Rehab, the Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging, Physician Services, Physical Rehabilitation, Respiratory, Sleep Lab, and Wound Care. His wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for healthcare excellence is unsurpassed.

Eric Jones
Administrator, HMC Health & Rehabilitation Center

Eric has been with HMC for over 13 years. Eric is a Studer-trained healthcare executive focusing on patient experience and employee engagement. As the Chief Support Officer, Eric oversees Dietary, Environmental Services, HMC Health & Rehabilitation Center nursing home, Home & Community Based Services, Maintenance, and Patient Experience.

Leigh Ann Hughes
Chief Financial Officer

Leigh Ann Hughes began her career at HMC as the controller and supervisor of the accounting department. She graduated with honors in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM), then magna cum laude with her Master of Accountancy in 2005, also from UTM. Hughes also holds an Associate of Science in Accounting from Jackson State Community College and earned her certified public accountant (CPA) license in 2008.

Tim Klein, MD
Chief Medical Officer
After earning his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Alabama, Tim Klein then attended medical school at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. Dr. Klein completed an internship with Straight Medical Interns and an internal medicine residency through Methodist Hospitals of Memphis, TN. He is a member of the American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Medical Director's Association, the American Medical Association, and the TN Association of Long-Term Care Physicians.

Wendy Trickey, MSN, RN
Chief Nursing Officer

Wendy Trickey completed her undergraduate studies at North Mississippi Community College (NMCC) and the University of North Alabama (UNA), where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership also from UNA. Trickey brings to HMC experience in strategic leadership in quality care, process improvement, and service growth.

Andrea Stanford is a native Hardin Countian who has been with Hardin Medical Center Human Resources Department for over 18 years and was promoted to Chief People Officer in 2021.

Chuck Reese, RN
Chief Quality Officer

Charles "Chuck" Reece, Jr. is the Chief Quality Officer at HMC. Chuck brings over seven years of executive quality leadership in healthcare systems. He has over three decades of leadership and executive management in Quality, Performance Improvement, Safety, High Reliability, Patient Experience, Lean Healthcare, Regulatory/Accreditation, Credentialing/Medical Staff Affairs, Infection Control/Prevention, Case Management, and Risk Management. Chuck has been a registered nurse since 1987, with clinical experience in general pediatrics and pediatric oncology before moving into healthcare quality.

Chris Powers
Chief Support Officer

Chris Powers is the HMC Chief Support Officer. Chris joined Hardin Medical Center in 2010 and was previously our Process Improvement Director and Materials Management Director. Chris is originally from West Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a bachelor's degree. He obtained his certification in Leadership and Operations Management from Michigan State University. Chris uses his 30+ years of leadership experience to continuously improve our processes, manage our major projects, and oversees our support departments.
