Hardin Medical Center announces the latest HMC Breath Taker is Nora Carroll, a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (DMS), also known as an Ultrasound Technologist in the HMC Radiology Department.
Nora has been with HMC for over a year performing ultrasounds in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
She is married to James, and they have two adult children, Dustan and Kyle. Nora also has a parrot, two pugs named Zoey and Sadie, and Millie, a terrier mix.
When asked which achievement or honor she is most proud of, she said her sons, her marriage, and having a career that she loves.
Nora describes herself as dependable, and her personal mission statement is— 'Actions speak louder than words.' She likes working at HMC because of the close community of a small hospital and how it feels like family.
When Nora isn't working, she spends her time outdoors gardening, hiking, and camping. Her Director Jenna Foote said, "Nora is hands down the best ultrasound tech we have ever had. Having Nora on our team makes a huge difference in the lives of our patients. She plays a crucial role in the success of this facility. Her dedication and ownership of ultrasound are unparalleled. Congratulations on this very deserving award."
The Respiratory Therapy team created the Breath-Taker Award to help recognize their fellow HMC employees who go above and beyond and always go the extra mile. The recipient of the 'traveling trophy' will then select the next winner. Congratulations to Nora Carroll! You are an important part of the HMC team!
