Holter Monitor Instructions

You may take the monitor off to take a shower. You will have extra stickers to use after your shower. Refer to the diagram shown for proper lead placement. Please note that the leads should NOT be placed on breast tissue. The brown lead may be placed higher or lower on your chest as needed. Snap wires onto stickers before placing them on your chest.

 

Please do not take out the battery. Removing the battery will erase all recorded data.

 

When you remove your Holter monitor to return it, please discard the stickers and return the monitor and wires to the front desk in the lobby of Hardin Medical Center.

If you return the monitor after 4:30 pm or on a weekend, please take the Holter monitor to the emergency room front desk, and they will make sure it is returned to us.
